I made a vow to myself. I really wanted to donate some cash to the relief efforts so that people can be helped. My hubby discussed it with me and we both feel that, though money for us is tight, the people there have virtually none. To share $200 from my savings account is indeed tough as that is already 20% of my savings. Yes, I only have $1000 left in my account. It's tough but I really felt the need to help.
From there, I tried to see if I can really contribute. I made the vow then. If someone will save their money through me, with my company. I will make a donation, no matter how much I earned from that someone. My work is commission-based. I calculated and I found that I only earned $30 from this person. It doesnt matter.
I have already submited my donation, though internet banking. I donated $200. People may wonder, just $200 and you are here boasting about it. What I want to share today is not about the amount that I donated, but an appeal to all who are able to help, to help.
I sincernly appreciate The Gohonzon for sending 2 aunties to me this week, to start a savings policy through me and let me be able to help people in need.
Please do help, if you are able to. A little bit goes a long way.
I donated though The Singapore Red Cross Society. http://www.redcross.org.sg/. Please visit the website and read to find out more about their relief efforts.
